At WCAP Counseling, we care deeply about your well-being. September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, and September 10th is World Suicide Prevention Day. It’s a time to raise awareness and remind everyone that help is always available.
If you or someone you know is thinking about suicide, please know that you’re not alone. Here are some signs to watch for in yourself or others:
- Feeling very sad or hopeless.
- Talking about wanting to die.
- Withdrawing from friends and family.
- Losing interest in things once enjoyed.
- Giving away important belongings
If you notice any of these signs, it’s important to reach out for help. You can talk to a trusted friend, family member, or one of our caring counselors at WCAP. You can also call the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988 for immediate support. Remember, reaching out for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. We’re here for you, and together, we can make a difference.
