Now Available at Our Pickerington Location

At WCAP Counseling, we believe in a comprehensive, personalized approach to mental health care. Our new Medication Management Services are designed to support clients who may benefit from psychiatric medications as part of their treatment plan. Now available at our Pickerington office, these services are led by experienced providers who work closely with you to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care.

What Is Medication Management?

Medication management is the process of prescribing, monitoring, and adjusting psychiatric medications to help clients manage symptoms related to mental health conditions. It’s not a one-size-fits-all solution—our team takes the time to understand your unique history, symptoms, and goals to determine whether medication may be a helpful part of your overall treatment plan.

Who Can Benefit?

Medication management may be appropriate for clients who are:

  • Struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, or other mood or behavioral disorders
  • Experiencing persistent or severe symptoms that interfere with daily life
  • Not seeing improvement with therapy alone
  • Looking for guidance around starting, adjusting, or stopping psychiatric medications

Our providers collaborate with WCAP’s therapists and support teams to ensure continuity of care and a holistic approach to your well-being.

What to Expect

When you begin medication management services at WCAP, here’s what the process typically looks like:

1. Initial Evaluation

A thorough assessment with a psychiatric provider, where we’ll review your mental health history, current symptoms, past treatments, and goals.

2. Personalized Treatment Plan

If medication is recommended, your provider will explain the options, potential benefits, and side effects and answer any questions.

3. Ongoing Monitoring

Regular follow-up appointments ensure that your medication is working as intended and allow for adjustments as needed.

4. Collaboration & Support

We believe in teamwork—your provider will coordinate with your therapist and primary care provider when appropriate.
