Welcome to June!

As the days grow longer and the sun shines brighter, we at WCAP Counseling are excited to share some important topics with you this month. We’re committed to fostering mental well- being for everyone, celebrating diversity and inclusion, and breaking down stigmas surrounding mental health within our community.

This month, we’re shining a light on some important topics in the world of mental health:

PTSD Awareness

June is PTSD awareness month, and it is a great time to discuss the importance of understanding and supporting those affected by trauma. Whether you’re a veteran, a first responder, or someone who has endured traumatic events, there is help available. WCAP can connect you with therapy options, and provide guidance and support on your journey toward healing and resilience.

Men’s Mental Health

Men often face unique challenges when it comes to mental health. It’s crucial to acknowledge and support men’s mental health, breaking down stigmas and encouraging open conversations. Whether it’s seeking help for stress, anxiety, or depression, know that it’s okay to reach out. WCAP is here to help explore resources and ways men can prioritize their well-being.

Juneteenth

Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates freedom and equality. As we honor this significant day in history and recognize its ongoing impact on mental health, let’s continue the journey toward racial justice and equality for all. Together, we can create a future where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered.

Pride Month

June is Pride Month, a time to highlight the LGBTQ+ community’s resilience, diversity, and achievements. We stand with our LGBTQ+ friends, family, and clients, providing a safe and inclusive space, and access to resources for mental health support.
